Managing a Snapshot Articles
The Manage Snapshot dialog shows more details about an individual Snapshot.  From here you can make any modifications required to the Snapshot

From this page the user can perform the following actions on a Snapshot:

  • Delete
  • Rename
  • Revert
It also has a number of subsections, which can be used to display and manage information related to the Snapshot:

Jobs Section

The Jobs section allows you to see recent jobs that have been performed against a particular resource, with the timestamp, status and description of each Job.

Related Resources & UUIDs Section

This section allows you to see all resources which have a direct relationship with the resource you are managing, and their UUIDs. Where relevant there are also links to the Manage dialog for that particular resource.

UUIDs are useful if you want to interact with a resource at the API level, or if you have a support request regarding a specific resource.

Keys Section

Keys are one of the areas in which Brinkster Cloud Orchestrator allows the end user to view, manage and manipulate their resources. A full explanation of keys and their usage is available here.

The Keys section allows you to add and remove Keys, values and weights (if applicable) to any particular resource.

Metadata Section

The Metadata service allows servers to retrieve XML data about their configuration securely upon boot time.

The Metadata section allows users to manage any user defined metadata they wish to.

Permissions Section

Brinkster Cloud Orchestrator has a very fine grained permissions and access control system that allows users to specify who should and shouldn't have different levels of access to resources.  A full explanation is available on the Permissions page.

The permissions section allows you to add, remove & manage these permissions for the relevant resource.

The options that are available are:

Permission (Allow or Deny)

Group (The group you are giving the relevant permission)

Capability (The capability you want to give them)

Resource Type (The type of resource you wish the permission to be against).
