Joomla and mod_rewrite / isapi filtering
If you are browsing your joomla site and your links and pages still show the sub folder in the link follow these instructions.
1) From within the file manager, browse to the folder that contains your joomla installation.
2) Double click to open the configuration.php file.
3) Find the "var $live_site" setting
3.a) edit this setting for the URL you use to browse your Joomla installation it will look like this when you are done.
3.b) var $live_site = 'http://www.mydomain.com';
4) Save the file.
Once this configuration change is made and saved, your links will now all reference the live site configuration you made and will no longer link to the sub folder.
