Why am I unable receive email
Trouble receiving email?
1) The most common problem related to receiving email is an expired domain name.
- Confirm your domain name is still in an active and registered status.

2) The second most common problem related to receiving email is an improper MX record (Mail Exchanger - DNS)
- Confirm your MX record is configured to Brinkster.
http://www.mxtoolbox.com/
The results should return an IP address beginning with 65.182.X.X (as shown below)
The results will LIKELY be reported by nsX.brinkster.com (as shown below)
* If you do not use Brinkster for your DNS names - you may need to contact the organization who maintains this for you.
3) The third most common problem related to receiving email is related to email configuration settings. Make sure that the following settings are correct in your email client:
** These settings are valid only for Premium Email accounts **
Incoming POP3 Server Setting: mymail.brinkster.com
Username: Must be the entire email address
Password: Password to above email account.
4) It's also possible to be experiencing a more rare issue related to email forwarding. In your preferences of your Webmail or the Brinkster Email Manager, where you setup forwarding, check to see if the checkbox for "Don't keep a local copy / forwarded messages" is checked. If so, uncheck it, unless you're actually forwarding to another email and do not want your Brinkster email to retain any messages.
If you are still unable to receive email, please contact Brinkster Support.
- Have your email address and email password ready
- Have a copy of the exact error message you are seeing (if any)
- Have a detailed description of what is occurring with your email.
